Evidence has emerged showing that Disney’s descent into “woke” madness began following the Jan. 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol.
The evidence includes video footage from an all-hands meeting that then-Disney executive chair Bob Iger (Bob Chapek was CEO of Disney at the time) held in late January of 2021.
In the startling video, Iger described Jan. 6th as a “fundamentally wrong” event “rooted in hatred and disrespect and contempt and intolerance” and further argued Disney shouldn’t be afraid to publicly comment on it.

“We’ve tended to shy away from politics, and in doing so, I think we’ve shied away from talking about issues that aren’t political at all like the issues that we’re talking about today because we believe in doing so, maybe it looks like we’re taking a stand,” Iger began.
“Well, in that reality, we should be taking a stand. … I think that we have to be less cautious, as Bob [Chapek] was just eluding to about such things, and not be concerned. Just commenting about what happened in Washington last week, that’s not political on our part at all,” he added.
“We know that what we saw was fundamentally wrong and that it was rooted in hatred and disrespect and contempt and and intolerance. We should feel free as a company to comment about that without retribution,” the then-Disney executive continued.
It’s at this point that Iger began spewing “woke” nonsense about Disney’s need for so-called “inclusion” and “diversity.”
“Another thing I want to say that I’ve learned these last nine to twelve months is I’m very proud of the work we’ve done in terms of diversity and inclusion on screen,” he said. “When we did ‘Coco,’ for instance, at Pixar, a great example of that. Or, of course, ‘Black Panther’ is one of the great examples of that.”
“I allowed those things to make me feel a bit complacent, in a sense. It’s not that I wanted to be that way, but I thought that we did ‘Black Panther’ — how great are we. And it caused me to not focus as much as I should have on the culture of the company and the environment and in the voices that were telling those stories as opposed to just how they were being portrayed on the screen,” he added.
Soon after these remarks were made, the “woke” nonsense began to take hold at Disney under then-CEO Chapek’s tutelage:

In April of 2021, for example, Disney instituted an “inclusive” dress code to provide “greater flexibility with respect to forms of personal expression surrounding gender-inclusive hairstyles, jewelry, nail styles, and costume choices,” as announced at the time by Josh D’Amaro, the chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.
In a blog post, D’Amaro claimed that this new policy was part of a new action plan focused on “creating a place where everyone is welcome.”
“We want our guests to see their own backgrounds and traditions reflected in the stories, experiences and products they encounter in their interactions with Disney. And we want our cast members – and future cast members – to feel a sense of belonging at work,” he wrote.
“That means cultivating an environment where all people feel welcomed and appreciated for their unique life experiences, perspectives and culture. Where we celebrate allyship and support for each other. And where diverse views and ideas are sought after as critical contributions towards our collective success,” he added.

Also around this time, Disney fired conservative actress Gina Carano from “The Mandalorian” series for using a Nazi comparison to highlight the danger of America’s boiling-hot political climate.
Disney did so despite fellow “The Mandaloran” star Pedro Pascal, a gay liberal, having used a Nazi comparison to smear then-President Donald Trump three years earlier. Unlike Carano, Pascal was never punished.
A year later in early 2022, Disney’s downfall increased exponentially after the now-“woke” company began publicly lobbying against Florida’s widely popular Parental Rights in Education bill.
The backlash was so severe that Chapek was ousted and succeeded by Iger, who, sadly, chose to double, triple, and quadruple down on “woke.”
Years later, Disney’s stock is now trading at around $110 a share, down from a January 2021 high of $180 a share.
