Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki put in her two cents on newly-elected House Speaker Mike Johnson, joining the leftist bandwagon smearing the Republican as “dangerous.”
Psaki’s fear-mongering and anti-Christian insults of the Louisiana lawmaker, who was elected last week after the speaker seat remained vacant for three weeks, included her warning that he is a “wolf in a suit jacket” and “basically a Christian fundamentalist.”
The former Biden admin spox unloaded on Johnson in an op-ed piece published over the weekend as well as during a segment on her show “Inside with Jen Psaki” on MSNBC.
“So let’s take a few minutes to talk about this new speaker,” she said in a mock-filled tone on Sunday.

“First glance, Mike Johnson does seem fine. Fine-ish. Conservative, yes. But he once started to civility caucus with a Democrat. And I mean, if nothing else, he wears a suit and has glasses,” she continued in her insulting manner.
“How threatening can this guy actually be?” she asked rhetorically. “Well, he gave us all a little clue as to how he would govern in an interview this week.”
She then referred to Johnson’s recent comments about his “worldview” being driven by his Christian beliefs and what the Bible says – evidently an unnerving characteristic for Psaki and her left-wing cronies.

“You heard that right!” Psaki exclaimed. “The Bible doesn’t just inform his worldview, it is his worldview.”
Johnson “suggested that his election as speaker was an act of God,” she continued, fanning the flames for her viewers.
“Talk about a bit of a humblebrag there,” she said, evidently hoping to stir fear and hatred in her viewers while taking Johnson’s words out of context. The GOP leader’s actual words as he addressed Congress were: “I believe that scripture, the Bible, is very clear that God is the one that raises up those in authority. He raised up each of you. All of us.”
“So, what exactly has God apparently called on Mike Johnson to do?” Psaki continued her sarcastic tone as if speaking to preschoolers. She then unpacked several of those views, with which she clearly diverged, always underpinning the delivery with a mocking of Christianity.
Her opinion piece had already made her snarky, anti-Christian beliefs clear but also drove home the fear that these Bible-based convictions should instill in Americans like herself.
Psaki claimed:
Most Americans might not be able to pick Mike Johnson out of a lineup, but in reality he’s far from benign. Johnson is a true Trump believer. He was an architect in the House of Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election, and served as one of the former president’s impeachment lawyers. He is opposed to any form of abortion access. He once supported criminalizing gay sex. But it’s not just his political ideology that should scare us. Johnson is basically a Christian fundamentalist. He believes that America is a Christian nation, and that those values should be reflected in our interpretation of the Constitution. His ideas of what America should be are completely out of line with what America actually is.
“He doesn’t have a questionable record as a former wrestling coach, or an unnerving tendency to yell,” Psaki wrote, in comparing Johnson to Jordan. “But harmless? Just the opposite.”
MSNBC seemed to be the home for anti-Johnson, indeed anti-Christian, fearmongering with articles on the website and several shows taking personal shots at the new speaker, including “The Sunday Show With Jonathan Capehart” on Sunday, “The Katie Phang Show” as well as “The ReidOut” and “Morning Joe” last Friday.
