The father of a nine-year-old boy who was the victim of a despicable racist smear campaign over painting his face in the colors of the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs said that the youngster never meant to disrespect Native Americans.
In the latest example of how the bottom-feeders of the “woke'” left will gleefully destroy the lives of innocent people to promote their agenda, Deadspin writer Carron J. Phillips accused Holden Armenta of racism and dressing up in “blackface” after he appeared in a live shot from the Chiefs’ televised weekend game against the division rival Las Vegas Raiders.
“The NFL needs to speak out against the Kansas City Chiefs fan in Black face, Native headdress,” Phillips wrote with a deceptive image of the young fan showing only one side of his face, the side painted in black and omitting the vital context that the other side was painted red.
Young Holden and his dad Bubba appeared on Wednesday’s edition of “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Fox News to set the record straight, blowing up the race-baiting activist writer’s foray into Jussie Smollett territory with a race hoax that has badly boomeranged on him.

“We never in any way, shape or form meant to disrespect any Native Americans or any tribes. The tribe we’re from doesn’t even wear that type of headdress. This specific headdress is a novelty piece. It’s a costume piece,” Bubba Armenta said. “That’s exactly what we had purchased it for and wore it for–not in any disrespect towards any Native Americans at all.”
The young Kansas City fan told Watters that he was starting to feel “a little nervous” over the reaction to his Chiefs outfit during the game “Because if they go a little bit overboard, it’s a little scary,” he said.
Bubba Armenta said that his son was “upset” and “pretty devastated” when he found out that he had been smeared as a racist in “blackface” by Phillips, telling the host it’s “a little too late” for an apology from the writer because the “damage is already done.”
Despite the backlash, the Deadspin racial arsonist continued to pour gas on the fire, writing in a since-deleted post to X, “For the idiots in my mentions who are treating this as some harmless act because the other side of his face was painted red, I could make the argument that it makes it even worse. Ya’ll are the ones who hate Mexicans but wear sombreros on cinco.”
“It’s, you know, worldwide. Now, there’s comments all over. There’s, you know, disrespect towards Native Americans and towards my family,” Armenta added. “It’s been a whirlwind of comments coming even from other tribes, from tribal members. Some think it’s OK. Some think it’s not OK. It’s a 9-year-old boy supporting his team.”
