New York State Attorney General Letitia James is positively drunk on the shameful “victory” she scored over former President Donald Trump.
Not content with Judge Arthur F. Engoron’s exorbitant Feb. 16 fine of nearly $355 million dollars for a victimless “crime” or the fact that Trump can’t do business in New York for three years — and after threatening to seize Trump’s assets if he doesn’t immediately place the full amount in an escrow account — the ghoulishly giddy James is posting a daily tally of the added interest on the obscene penalty.

Interest has already increased the amount Trump has been ordered to pay to more than a staggering $454,000,000, according to ABC News.
“The clerk for New York County’s Supreme Court signed and entered the judgment order Friday in former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud case, in which he owes $355 million in fines plus approximately $100 million in interest,” the outlet explains. “Shortly after, New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a notice of entry in the case, which started the clock on Trump’s financial penalties in the case, which come to $454,156,783 in disgorgement and pre-judgment interest.”
“Trump now has 30 days to appeal the case to New York’s Appellate Division, First Department,” ABC News continues. “In order to stay the execution of the fine in the case, the former president needs to post a bond or put cash into an escrow account to cover the fines plus interest, according to James.”
On Friday, after filing the notice, James posted on X: “$464,576,230.62.”

The backlash was immediate, as users on X expressed their disgust.
