Events in Israel follow a familiar pattern — Palestinian terrorists commit atrocious acts of terror against Jews, and the state of Israel responds with significant military force to defend its citizens, which is followed by an outcry from the left for a ceasefire in defense of the poor civilian population that they otherwise ignore living under the thumb of ruthless terrorist organizations.
Somewhat surprisingly, President Joe Biden has stood resolute in support of Israel and its right to self-defense after Hamas launched a savage attack that killed more than 1,400 people, and saw over 200 taken hostage, though he does taper that stance with remarks about respecting the laws of war — being a Democrat, he is also trying to throw millions of dollars into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip to placate his hard-left base and their pro-Palestine/Hamas stance.
Of course, no cause du jour is complete until Hollywood engages and that is where left-wing actress Alyssa Milano comes into play. She posted an open letter to her “friend” Biden signed by 55 prominent, self-important celebrities in the entertainment industry.
Titled “Artists Call For A Ceasefire,” the letter called for a cease-fire in Gaza — to their credit, the group is among the few who ALSO call for the release of the hostages being held by Hamas.
Some of the more notable signatories are Joaquin Phoenix, Cate Blanchett, Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Susan Sarandon, Mahershala Ali, Riz Ahmed, Ramy Youssef and Quinta Brunson.

“We come together as artists and advocates, but most importantly as human beings witnessing the devastating loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine,” the letter begins. “We ask that, as President of the United States, you call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel before another life is lost. More than 4,000 people have been killed in the last week and a half – a number any person of conscience knows is catastrophic.”
“We urge your administration, and all world leaders, to honor all of the lives in the Holy Land and call for and facilitate a ceasefire without delay – an end to the bombing of Gaza, and the safe release of hostages,” the letter reads.
“History is watching,” the self-absorbed narcissists conclude, after detailing more of the suffering in Gaza — they offer no details whatsoever of the butchery that Jews endured at the hands of Palestinian terrorists who admitted that they acted like “animals” in raping and beheading woman and children.
Interestingly, history — as controlled by the left — never seems to be watching when the hatred of Jews sweeps the land like a fever and people begin to openly call for their eradication. See Nazi Germany.
Here’s a quick sampling of the anticipated responses to the story from X:
Guys, Hollywood has some demands. https://t.co/107eccxQ73 — Karol Markowicz (@karol) October 22, 2023
Was the “Artists for the Slaughter of Jews Without Consequence” name already taken? https://t.co/p01BvbFnLb — Sunny McSunnyface (Taylor’s Version) (@sunnyright) October 22, 2023
I have a modest proposal: let’s trade all of the people on this list for the 210 hostages being held by Hamas. https://t.co/3IVwSU1RnO — Jason Bedrick (@JasonBedrick) October 23, 2023
I love when people post but won’t let there be any replies. So I’ll just say this. I guess all of you forgot about the Israeli babies murdered, the babies that were beheaded, the babies that were kidnapped, the baby that was cut out of its mother womb, and the children who are… https://t.co/bzdB8GhGPk — Todd Richman (@toddrichman) October 23, 2023
These same people would call you a “Putin puppet” if you said the same thing about Ukraine, where a lot more people have been killed. Weird, isn’t it? https://t.co/xVpfCdXjC6 — Derek Hunter (@derekahunter) October 22, 2023
