Biden wants to gift Hamas a longer ceasefire, Mark Levin has some thoughts

The president’s ploy to stretch out a ceasefire for the benefit of Hamas was battered by Mark Levin: “They’ll keep playing him like a fiddle.”

Where once Americans proudly bragged about refusing to negotiate with terrorists, over the weekend President Joe Biden celebrated that jihadists were stringing him along with the promise of a slow release of the dozens of hostages, including Americans, held since the Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel.

With the second wave including a four-year-old American-Israeli girl, Avigail Idan, the small but noteworthy victory was put in perspective by the syndicated radio host who opined on X that “Biden is stabbing Israel in the back.”

“Biden wants longer ceasefire. I’ve said for days, Biden is stabbing Israel in the back. He doesn’t want them to win. And he was always going to pressure Israel to back off once he hit a ‘humanitarian pause.’ The fact is that Biden is putting more IDF soldiers at risk and he doesn’t give a damn. Hamas knows Biden’s a fool so they’re holding onto our hostages until the last,” contended Levin. “They’ll keep playing him like a fiddle.”

“Israel MUST ignore Biden and either finish off Hamas or suffer more atrocities. Biden is a wrecking ball,” he added.

On Sunday, the president had boasted during a brief address that, “This deal is delivering life-saving results. Critically needed aid is going in, and hostages are coming out. And there’s still a structure so that it can be extended to keep building on these results.”

“That’s my goal. That’s our goal,” Biden continued of the administration’s efforts to impede the Israel counteroffensive as the remaining hostages, including Americans whose statuses were admittedly unknown, were dangled as bait. “To keep this pause going beyond tomorrow so that we can continue to see more hostages come out and surge more humanitarian relief into those in need in Gaza.”

“We’ve seen this is a day-by-day approach, hour-by-hour process, and nothing is guaranteed, and nothing is being taken for granted. But the proof that this is working and worth pursuing further is in every smile and every grateful tear we see on the faces of those families who are finally getting back together again,” argued the president.

He added of his efforts to stretch out the initial four-day ceasefire, “The deal calls for every 10 hostages released to extend another day. So I’m hopeful this is not the end. That it’s going to continue, but we don’t know.”

“But I get a sense that all the players in the region — even the neighbors who haven’t been directly involved now — are looking for a way to end this so the hostages are all released, and Hamas is … no longer in control of any portion of Gaza,” suggested Biden.

However, as Levin posted later in response to a report from The Times of Israel that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had visited Israeli Defense Forces in northern Gaza with a determined message that they would “continue until victory,” the radio host reacted, “100%, but every day that Biden succeeds is delaying Israel’s ability to finish off Hamas is a day that will make it harder to get the job done.”

“Biden is hoping to prevent Israel from winning, as I’ve been saying for weeks and weeks, and he’s demanding an extension of the ceasefire. The #1 goal must be the destruction of Hamas, period,” the conservative stalwart said. “And as I also keep saying, notice Biden and [Secretary of State Antony] Blinken never mention our own citizens who were left behind in Afghanistan. What has happened to them and why aren’t they a priority?”

After a call with Netanyahu Sunday, the White House provided a glossed-over readout of their conversation that noted in addition to the release of hostages, “The two leaders also discussed the pause in the fighting and surge in much needed additional humanitarian assistance into Gaza.”

“The Prime Minster thanked the President for his tireless efforts to help broker and fully implement this deal,” the readout stated. “The two leaders agreed that the work is not yet done and that they will continue working to secure the release of all hostages. The two leaders agreed to remain in close contact over the coming days.”
