The Russian collusion delusion hoax and conspiracy theory has been revived by the left going into the 2024 presidential election.
Evidently desperate to distract from President Joe Biden’s pathetic poll numbers, congressional Democrats have once again begun accusing Republicans of colluding with the Russians to steal an election.
The examples go on for days, starting with Rep. Dan Goldman, who on Tuesday claimed that House Republicans’ legitimate investigation into the Biden family’s corrupt foreign dealings is a Russian plot.
“For the last four years, wittingly or unwittingly, House Republicans have been acting as an agent or an asset of Russian intelligence,” he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “It now appears as if the House Republican majority is being used by Russia to interfere in the 2024 election.”

It’s the Russian Collusion Hoax 2.0. pic.twitter.com/KK9DuL3PGPHe based his dubious conclusion on the charges filed recently by the Biden Department of Justice against one of congressional Republicans’ witnesses, FBI whistleblower Alexander Smirnov.
Smirnov was “actively peddling new lies that could impact U.S. elections after meeting with Russian intelligence officials in November,” the department said in a statement.
And so because Smirnov allegedly lied to the FBI and allegedly met with Russian intelligence officials, Democrats like Goldman now claim the entire investigation into the Bidens is illegitimate.
Also illegitimate in the eyes of Goldman and crew is the evidence-backed accusation that President Biden had, as vice president, used his power to push out a Ukrainian prosecutor who’d been investigating the corrupt Ukrainian firm Burisma.
“This has been debunked for years,” Goldman claimed Tuesday. “And the fact that it now is the linchpin of this impeachment investigation, based on a completely bogus lie funneled through a confidential source by Russian intelligence, it tells you the real danger that our Congress is in right now, having been held captive by Donald Trump and now operating at the behest of Russian intelligence and Vladimir Putin.”
Next up is Rep. Jamie Raskin. Also appearing on CNN this Tuesday, he too pushed the Russian collusion narrative.

“This is all part of a propaganda and disinformation campaign, by Russia, attempting to help Donald Trump,” he said. “And when we point out the very clear contours, of this story, our colleagues just start chanting Russia hoax, Russia hoax.”
“Well, what’s the hoax? Is it the brutal invasion of Ukraine, and the tens of thousands of Ukrainians, who’ve died, or tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of Russians who’ve died? Is it the death of Navalny that’s the hoax? What exactly is the hoax they’re talking about?” he added.
“Because it seems to me that the most likely hoax is really Donald Trump, who’s been manipulated, by Putin, for a long time, or is certainly in love with Vladimir Putin, and refuses to say a negative word about anything he does,” he continued.
As a reminder, Russia invaded Ukraine under President Biden, not under former President Donald Trump. Democrats conveniently like to forget this indisputable fact.
Next up is House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Appearing on “The View” this Wednesday, he went full-bore on the conspiracy theory.

“I actually think that Donald Trump views himself as a Putin-esque dictatorial figure,” he said. “He said it. And we should believe him, that he wants to go down this road.”
“And that’s the problem that we’re encountering with some of my Republican colleagues, that there is a growing pro-Putin faction in the Republican Party, and it’s led by Donald Trump, some other outside figures like Tucker Carlson, and on the inside, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Jim Jordan,” he added.
FYI, Trump has never said he views himself as a Putin-esque dictator. But who cares about the facts, right?
And last up is former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Appearing on MSNBC this Monday, she suggested Russian President Vladimir Putin has financial influence over the former president.
Listen:
“First of all, we must be sure that he does not step one foot into the White House,” she said of Trump. “Not as president or not as anything. He has brought disgrace to the White House, to these presidents.”
“I don’t know what he [Putin] has on him, but I think it’s probably financial, I think it’s probably financial. Either something financial he has him on or something on the come,” she added.
It’s the Russian collusion delusion hoax and conspiracy all over again — and all in time for another election that Democrats are thus far poised to lose.
